The Guarding Troopers Stun Gun (GTSG) was originally developed on Earth and issued to the exohuman Guarding Troopers aboard the Last Frontier. Designed for internal law enforcement, the weapon offered a non-lethal alternative for crowd control, suppressing threats, and handling civil unrest in the confined quarters of the spaceship.
Following the crash-landing on VOI 700 D in 2625, the Free State of Settlers retained the Guarding Troopers as their primary law enforcement organization. The GTSG remained their standard melee weapon, providing a reliable means of subduing disorderly settlers without resorting to lethal force. Unlike Laser Guns, which faced severe energy shortages due to the destruction of Quantum Fusion Batteries, the GTSG remained widely operational, sustaining its role well into the early Beta Age.
However, following the dissolution of the Guarding Troopers and the establishment of the Federal Sheriff system after the Great War, the Federal Council ordered the recycling of all remaining Guarding Troopers Stun Guns. These repurposed weapons became the foundation for the Federal Stun Gun, which continues to be used in the Gamma Age. Despite this, some original GTSG units were stolen or smuggled onto the Black Market, making them rare collector’s items among Individualists and Outlaws.
During the Alpha Age and early Beta Age, the Guarding Troopers Stun Gun was strictly regulated and issued solely to official law enforcement personnel:
By the Gamma Age, with the weapon officially decommissioned, remaining GTSG units have become sought-after relics for collectors and criminals alike.
