Biography
Elke was born into a German-Dutch family aboard the Last Frontier. After the landing on VOI 700 D, she opened a general store selling goods to the settlers, but many of these products were faulty and dangerous. One such faulty product, a heater, exploded, killing several people. Her husband, aware of her unethical actions, threatened to expose her. During the Great War, Elke brutally murdered him, blaming the Honga for his death.
Her disdain for the Natives extends beyond her personal actions. Elke believes in “human supremacy” and thinks the Natives should serve as slaves under human rule, which aligns with her extremist, power-hungry mentality. After the Federal Sheriff uncovered the truth about her husband’s death, Elke fled the system, leaving behind her four children, whom she has not seen since.
Personality
Elke is highly dangerous, driven by greed and a deep-seated belief in her own superiority. She is cold, calculating, and utterly ruthless, especially when her power or authority is threatened. Despite her calm demeanor, she is capable of extreme violence, making her both feared and respected within the Jane Mendoza Gang.
Physical Appearance
Elke stands at 1.72 meters tall, with a slim, muscular build. Her sharp facial features and piercing blue eyes give her an air of intimidation. Though she dresses pragmatically for the black market dealings, she retains a refined sense of elegance, hinting at her early life in a well-off family. She also bears the infrared tattoo of the gang on her right forearm.
Role in the Jane Mendoza Gang
Elke runs the gang’s illegal trade operations, overseeing the smuggling of goods, black market deals, and sale of stolen items. Her expertise in these areas has made her one of the gang’s most influential figures, even after losing the drug trade to Zhang Langley. Her jealousy toward Zhang Langley simmers beneath the surface as she waits for the perfect opportunity to reclaim her dominance.
Her network of contacts spans across the Habitual Belt and Dark Side, keeping her at the center of the gang’s illegal commerce. Despite setbacks, Elke remains a crucial part of Jane Mendoza’s inner circle due to her operational skills and unwavering loyalty.
