• Species: ExoHuman
• Born: circa 2605, aboard the spaceship Last Frontier

Chantal began her career as a sous‑chef in the Last Frontier’s communal kitchen, mastering balance and purity of flavors. When she settled on VOI 700 D, she spotted a niche: frontier water was either foul or scarce. In September 2626 she tapped the Arla springs, founded Mistspring Water Inc., and turned spring‑fed purity into a premium commodity. After the 2631 Peace Treaty and federal takeover, Chantal shifted to advising on water quality, bringing her exacting standards to the newly reopened Federal Fountains.

• Founder & Water Master, Mistspring Water Inc. (2626–2631): Surveyed springs, designed gravity‑fed bottling, managed plant ops, negotiated supply contracts.

• Federal Water Consultant (2631–2635): Oversaw water‑treatment protocols at Federal Fountains, trained allotment‑center staff, helped draft regional quality standards.

• Traits: Meticulous, quietly confident, warm under pressure
• Behavior: Speaks softly but with authority; prefers hands‑on problem solving; greets guests with perfectly poured samples
• Values: Purity of process, community well‑being, and teaching others her craft

• Height: 1.68 m
• Weight: 58 kg
• Appearance: Auburn hair in a neat bun, clear blue eyes

• Armor Class (AC): 11
• Hit Points (HP): 24

• Flask Toss: Ranged Attack, +3 to hit, range 10/20 m, one target. Hit: 1d6 piercing (shattered glass).
• Persuasive Pitch: Chantal delivers a compelling case for her water’s purity. One creature within 6 m must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom save or be charmed for 1 minute, during which it’s inclined to share information or agree to one reasonable request related to water access or licensing.

• Culinary Precision: Advantage on checks related to brewing, potion‑making, or any process requiring precise liquid measurements.

Chantal wanted to prove that crafting wasn’t limited to food — she believed pure water could be as treasured as a fine dish. Her drive was personal: she saw every flask as a testament to human ingenuity and survival.

Though she chafed at nationalization, Chantal now channels her expertise into public service. She’s determined to ensure every settler enjoys the same pristine water she fought to bottle, and to train a new generation of water‑masters.

Chantal Berkenheim stands as a pioneer of frontier sanitation and purity. Mistspring Water Inc.’s blueprints influenced federal water‑treatment standards, and her techniques still underpin modern operations. Her name is synonymous with “from spring to sip.”

Chantal can serve as:

• Expert Ally: Provides purified water that grants temporary buffs, or helps PCs craft restorative brews.
• Quest Giver: Task the party with securing a contaminated spring source or recovering stolen UV‑sterilizer bulbs.
• Mentor: Teaches skill checks for brewing, alchemical water uses, or setting up gravity‑fed devices.
