VAI'SHARIN
Overview
Vai'Sharin is the shared creation myth of the Native Tribes of VOI 700 D, known in their own language as Shang Gha Lha. Despite vast distances and limited inter-tribal contact, nearly all tribes across the Habitual Belt recount a nearly identical origin story. The consistency of the narrative across regions has raised questions among ExoHuman scientists.
The Sacred Balance – Content of the Creation Myth
According to Vai'Sharin, the Natives were shaped by mysterious godlike beings who formed them with their own hands and placed them upon Shang Gha Lha as stewards of the world. These divine creators also shaped the planet itself, giving it its three symbolic sectors, each reflecting a fundamental force of existence:
- DUNA TENAI (The Dark Side): A land of eternal night and cold, symbolizing death, fear, and isolation. It represents the darker forces of life that must be respected and understood.
- RAVA-TELA (The Desert Side): A domain of relentless sunlight and burning heat. It warns against overambition, recklessness, and the danger of losing oneself in desire.
- VAI-SOLUN (The Habitual Belt): The temperate, twilight zone between extremes. It symbolizes harmony, balance, and wisdom—the sacred middle path that the Native Tribes strive to walk.
This creation story serves as both myth and moral compass. It defines the Native worldview, spiritual orientation, and way of life.
Ritual Transmission and Cultural Role
Vai'Sharin is passed down orally through ritual storytelling, music, and seasonal festivals. Around campfires and in sacred groves, elders and spiritual leaders retell the myth to each generation, embedding it through chants, dances, and symbolic tattoos. Each tribe may have regional expressions of the myth, but the core remains unchanged, reinforcing their shared role as planetary caretakers.
These rituals are not merely symbolic; they are seen as spiritual acts that renew the connection between the Natives and the forces of Shang Gha Lha.
ExoHuman Perception of the Creation Story
To early ExoHuman explorers, Vai'Sharin was considered an unusually cohesive cultural myth, especially given the lack of written language or cross-regional communication among the tribes. The myth’s near-universal presence puzzled anthropologists and xenologists.
During the Beta Age, as ExoHuman expeditions expanded into uncharted zones, they began encountering ruins, symbols, and artifacts associated with a mysterious race later referred to as the Zonko. These discoveries—including subterranean laboratories and anomalous energy fields—raised the possibility that Vai'Sharin might be more than myth. Some began to suspect that the spiritual story concealed a factual core.
Most ExoHuman scholars agree that why and how all tribes share the same myth remains an unresolved enigma. The evidence points toward Zonko influence but stops short of proving deliberate manipulation.
