Rosanne Fernandez was born in 2594 aboard the Last Frontier to a family of environmental scientists. She showed an early passion for planetary systems and spatial analysis, which led her to pursue a degree in Geography at Last Frontier University. During her studies, she came under the mentorship of Kito Jaroslav who worked as a Research Assistant.

Rosanne began a PhD under Jaroslav’s supervision and eventually joined his field team following the crash-landing of the Last Frontier in 2625. Now based in New Kourou, she became one of the core members of his research group exploring the Ralar Region and developing risk models for expeditions into Vazhak.

Unknown to most of the academic world, Rosanne and Kito Jaroslav were secretly engaged. When the Vazhak I Expedition lost contact in 2628 and Jaroslav was declared missing, Rosanne was devastated — but quickly stepped up to carry on his work. She was appointed Professor of Geography shortly after and given command of the Vazhak II Expedition.

Her expedition encountered a Zathurr (Vazhak Maw) and suffered heavy losses, losing 16 members. Though she survived, the experience left her visibly changed — colder, more distant, and relentlessly determined to uncover the full truth of what happened to Kito and his team.
