Each banknote honored a scientific figure whose contributions were instrumental to humanity's journey into space. These figures were chosen as a tribute to human ingenuity and as a reminder of Earth's rich intellectual heritage. The practice of referring to the bills by the scientists' names became a part of everyday language, deepening the cultural resonance of the currency.

In recent years, the Party of Individualists has openly announced its intention to reintroduce the Kourou as the official currency and abolish Communardism if it wins the majority of seats in the Federal Council. • Counterfeit Circulation (Beta Age): The players stumble upon a series of counterfeit Kourou bills in circulation, featuring minor but detectable flaws. Their investigation could reveal an underground printing operation, possibly involving a rogue faction of the Free State's Money Press itself, with ties to political corruption or rebellion.

• Black Market Heist (Gamma Age): Players discover a secret stash of Kourou used by smugglers in Firetown's underground economy. They can either infiltrate the operation to steal the currency for their use or dismantle the network to gain favor with the Federal Confederation.
