Background
Torben Bordeaux is a rugged, hard-working miner recently assigned to Firetown's copper mines under the Federal Confederation. Originally trained as a lumberjack, Torben’s life took an unexpected turn when the restrictions outlined in the Peace Treaty led to significant limitations in the logging industry, resulting in his reassignment. Struggling with the demanding labor, isolation, and perpetual darkness of the mines, he often seeks solace in alcohol and the drug Shika after his shifts. These substances provide a temporary escape, but when intoxicated, his frustrations boil over, revealing a short temper and an aggressive streak. His mistrust of the authorities who disrupted his previous life fuels his defiant spirit.
