TINA BONANNO
Race and Faction
- Species: ExoHuman
- Born: 2559, aboard the spaceship Last Frontier
- Place of Residence: Firetown, Entertainment District (2628–2631)
Background
Tina Bonanno began life as a mousy, shy woman who diligently tried to live by the rules and uphold high moral standards. She married Frederico Bonanno, one of the Last Frontier’s Ship’s Counselors, who discreetly recorded passengers’ confessions in a private journal. When the Last Frontier crashed, Frederico perished in the flames — his journal surviving to fall into Tina’s hands. Initially horrified by the breadth of human deceit, Tina soon resolved that if everyone else cheated, she would too. Together with her son Alfonso (born 2590 aboard the Last Frontier), she vowed never to play by the rules again.
In 2628, Tina leveraged her inheritance and ruthless ambition to build the twelve-story Dark Side Hotel in Firetown’s Entertainment District — the Free State of Settler’s largest lodging, finest restaurant, grandest gambling hall, and most dazzling showstage. Dubbed the “Puppet Master” for the covert Cartel network of contract killers and enforcers she commanded, Tina ruled the underworld and the leisure economy alike.
That same year, she consolidated her underworld power by founding the Firetown Garbage Collection Coop (FGCC) together with her Cartel allies. While officially responsible for waste management, the FGCC also served as a tool for Cartel control and disposal of incriminating evidence. Tina appointed her only son, Alfonso Bonanno, as its Manager, securing her family’s grip on Firetown’s critical infrastructure.
Her reign ended in January 2631 when she was gunned down in an unsolved ride-by shooting, three months before the Great War concluded and the Federal Confederation shuttered the hotel. Distraught by the loss of their empire and license denial, her son Alfonso Bonanno took his own life in one of the hotel’s luxury suites — marking a tragic coda to the Bonanno dynasty.
