KETU KAINERUGABA

Race and Faction

Background

Ketu Kainerugaba was born in 2615 as the third of five siblings aboard the spaceship Last Frontier. After landing on VOI 700 D, he lived with his parents in New Kourou, where he excelled academically until a tragic love affair with his geography professor derailed his life. Unable to recover emotionally, Ketu failed his exams and refused to return home, breaking ties with his family.

Assigned by GAIA to work as a miner in the Federal Copper Mine for an 18-month term, Ketu lasted only three months before spiraling into despair. Feeling alone and alienated, he sought solace in Firetown’s nightlife. One fateful night, emboldened by alcohol and desperation, he applied to join the Jane Mendoza Gang at Saloon Gloria. Despite passing the initial test, Ketu failed the second—a requirement to kill another person—and is now considered a “dead man walking” by the gang.
