Background
Jane Mendoza is the daughter of Biruta Kralikas and Roberto Mendoza, third-generation humans on the Last Frontier starship. Jane’s childhood was marked by tragedy when her drug-addicted father killed her mother in 2605, a traumatic event she witnessed firsthand. Raised in “care of the community” aboard the Last Frontier, Jane never saw her father again.
Despite these difficult beginnings, Jane excelled academically at the Last Frontier University, graduating as the top engineering student in 2624 and beginning a promising career. Upon landing on VOI 700 D, she contributed to the construction of Firetown’s Geothermal Power Plant. However, during the Great War, Jane found her calling in weapons engineering at the frontlines, working alongside Aisha Patel, who later became Supreme Councilor. The two formed a close bond until Jane’s radical actions and lack of restraint led to her exile from the GAIA system. In 2634, after attacking her replacement, she was sentenced to work in the Federal Copper Mine but ultimately escaped, founding the Jane Mendoza Gang and leading it to infamy.
Currently, Jane is wanted for a series of severe crimes, including robbery-murder, manslaughter, extortion, and kidnapping, and is believed to reside in the Zark Tribes’ cave system on the Dark Side of VOI 700 D.
