Overview

  • Location: NW Residential Ring Road, New Kourou
  • Address: NW Residential Ring Road 3
  • Surroundings: Near communal housing complexes and a small park, serving as a neighborhood hub.

The first Federal News Lounge (FNL) of New Kourou was opened in December 2634 alongside the launch of the Weekly Gazette. Operated by the Federal News Agency, it provides communal access to news and political debate within the largest settlement of the Federal Confederation.

History

Built under the Independent Press Act of 2634, this FNL became a prototype for Habitual Belt lounges. Its high seating capacity reflects the scale of New Kourou as the Confederation’s capital.

Architectural Significance

  • Construction Materials: Mycel-block walls reinforced with alloy frames salvaged from the Last Frontier.
  • Floors: 1
  • Design Purpose: Large-capacity reading hall with skylights for maximum natural light.

Located in the perpetual twilight of the Habitual Belt, the lounge feels like a civic forum: a soft, steady glow filters through skylights onto readers gathered around the large tables. • Don’t disturb readers or talk loudly.
  • Wash your hands before touching the paper.
  • Don’t eat or drink inside the reading lounge.
  • Discussions and podiums only on special occasions.

Security Measures

Player Interaction Possibilities
