JAQUE HUSSAINI

Race and Faction

Background

Born aboard the Last Frontier in 2602, Jaque Hussaini originally pursued a degree in Information Technology at the Last Frontier University, aiming to join the software engineering corps after colonization. But when the crash landing on VOI 700 D destroyed much of the ship’s core digital infrastructure, his career path collapsed with it.

Determined to stay useful in the newly forming world, Jaque apprenticed in mechanical maintenance and manual trades — discovering an unexpected knack for woodworking and fabrication. Hired as a foreman by Hanata Ito at Fogwood Sawmill Inc., Hussaini proved himself indispensable in managing both bots and humans on the mill floor.

Encouraged by Ito to start his own venture, Jaque founded Hussaini Carpentry Inc. in November 2626, securing financial backing from Ito (who retained a 49% stake). The workshop bridged industrial lumber and frontier construction, producing refined timber goods for Morningstar and beyond.

After nationalization in 2632, Hussaini’s business was integrated into the Federal Wood Plant Network He remained as director under contract with the Federal Allotment Agency.

Motivations and Goals

Beta Age Motivations:

Jaque’s primary goal was to prove his worth outside of the digital domains he had trained for. He sought to create tangible contributions to the fledgling settlements and saw the carpentry workshop as a bridge between survival and culture. His loyalty to Hanata Ito was practical, but his commitment to his workers and craft was personal.

Gamma Age Motivations:

In the Gamma Age, Jaque seeks peace and meaning through solitude and mentoring. Though he resents the nationalization of his business, he finds satisfaction in shaping future artisans and defending craftsmanship from becoming purely bureaucratic or machine-driven.

Legacy

Jaque Hussaini embodies the settler ethos of adaptability and grit. His shift from digital ambitions to artisanal mastery illustrates the human capacity for reinvention. Hussaini Carpentry remains one of Morningstar’s most iconic workshops, and his blueprints still circulate among federal apprentice guilds.
