102 Pen and Paper Adventure | Beta Age

HUNTING AN UNKNOWN HUNTER

Introduction

Hunting an Unknown Hunter is an official 102 Pen & Paper Adventure set in the Beta Age of One Hundred and Two Lightyears Away from Home.

It continues the events of The Man Without a Name. After the brutal assault on the Office for Special Operations (OfSO), Ezrah Scherkenstein uncovers a trail of clues pointing north — toward the settlement of Morningstar and the foothills of the Atrana Mountains.

The anonymous client who hired the PCs is still out there. Hidden. Armed. And very afraid of being found.

This adventure draws players into the hunter culture of the mountains and a secret that traces all the way back to the crash landing of the Last Frontier …

Setup

Adventure Background

During the assault on the OfSO Headquarters, the attackers carried trappers’ gear, game-chips from Saw’s End, hunting tools marked “Hale & Hook Outfitters,” and meal receipts from Django’s Diner. All evidence points to one region:

Morningstar.

A settlement of fur traders, hunters, and lumberjacks. Ezrah believes someone there hired the killers — someone with money, reach, and a dangerous past. The PCs are tasked with tracking down this unknown hunter, uncovering his identity, and delivering the truth Ezrah was nearly murdered for.

Continuation

This adventure can be played entirely on its own, but it functions best as the direct follow-up to:

Surviving PCs carry all equipment, injuries, and narrative consequences from Part 1 into this module. Completing this adventure resolves the mystery behind the anonymous client and the hidden history he tried so violently to protect.
