Founded in 2628 by Maria Nakiganda — a resilient single mother of five whose two eldest sons toil in the Copper Mine — the German Imbiss brings the comforting traditions of Earth’s roadside stands to VOI 700 D. Specializing in hearty plates like Currywurst mit Pommes and Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes, each dish is crafted from local ingredients adapted for the planet’s unique flora and fauna.

Less than just three years after its opening, the German Imbiss was forced to shutter in 2631 when the newly founded Federal Confederation rolled out Communardism and placed all food distribution under the Federal Allotment Agency.

In the Gamma Age, the building was repurposed as the Headquarters of the Firetown Post, making it not only a relic of Firetown’s culinary past but also a landmark in the political struggles between Communards and Individualists.

Fun Fact: Despite its name, Nakiganda’s family has no roots in Germany — she stumbled on images of traditional German Imbiss meals in the Last Frontier’s Entertainment Cloud during the Alpha Age and decided to recreate them with local ingredients.

• Geothermal Feed Vents: Insulated steel stacks and vent assemblies integrated into the rear façade, channeling heat and hot water from the Geothermal Power Plant to maintain interior temperature

• Order Counter & Interior Seating: A fully enclosed service hall replacing external benches—six heated booths line the interior wall under the awning’s roof, each with built-in heat vents and Mirel Leaf cushion backing
• Kitchen Nook: Open prep area directly adjacent to the seating hall, keeping the space warm and fragrant with sizzling Hoos bratwurst
• Takeaway Shelf: Pass-through hatch to the exterior, with a heated ledge for quick grab-and-go orders, but no outdoor seating during the frigid months
• Storage & Prep: Rear vestibule remains insulated against the −20 °C cold, with airlocks at both entrance and kitchen doors to prevent heat loss

Stepping up to the counter, patrons are greeted by the sizzle of spiced Hoos bratwurst bathing in Zelor Grain curry sauce. The air carries the scent of Bilax Root fries and Mirel Leaf garnish. Maria and her Butler Bot call orders out over the fryer’s hiss, while customers balance steaming meal trays on the wooden benches. The Imbiss hums with warmth and familiarity — a small taste of home in Firetown’s frigid dark.

• Vanished Farmer – Late one evening, Jacob Lenz, a devoted father and farmer from Hope, slipped away with a friend for a quick night out in Firetown’s Entertainment District. Their bar‑hop ended at the neon‑lit dive known as Kittens from Space, where Jacob’s last coherent words were “I need to chat with Madama Talara.” When he didn’t rejoin his friend, panic set in. Another witness places Jacob, Madama Talara, and an unknown man entering the notorious Saloon Gloria.
