The Editorial Office of the Weekly Gazette is the newsroom and production center of the Confederation’s public newspaper. Established in 2634 under the Independent Press Act, it operates under the Federal News Agency and serves as the editorial hub where stories are researched, edited, and prepared for publication before printing on the ground floor.

The Editorial Office was founded simultaneously with the Weekly Gazette in 2634, when the Communard government mandated the creation of an independent public press. It quickly became the focal point of journalistic activity on VOI 700 D, tasked with balancing investigative reporting, political discourse, and cultural coverage under the watchful framework of the Federal Council and the GAIA system.

Its façade reflects the pragmatic ethos of the Gamma Age: straight lines, modest windows, and a simple alloy-and-timber finish. Inside, the building prioritizes secure workspaces, editorial collaboration, and the protection of sensitive documents, rather than public ornamentation.

Second Floor – Editorial Office:

• Newsroom: Open-plan space where editors, journalists, and photo reporters collaborate.
• Editor-in-Chief’s Office: A private room for high-level editorial meetings, story approval, and coordination with the Federal News Agency.
• Archives & Storage: Restricted-access room for current and past stories, research files, and sensitive documents.
