In the Event of an Individualist Victory: Johanson Plans to Terminate Peace Treaty
April 5, 2636
At a campaign event in Firetown’s entertainment district, Jamal Johanson, the leading candidate of the Individualist Party, made a bold and unambiguous declaration to an audience of around 200 enthusiastic supporters. He vowed that if elected as Supreme Councilor, his first act in office would be to tear up the Peace Treaty with the Natives and throw it at their feet.
“The Peace Treaty is nothing more than a scourge on humanity,” Johanson proclaimed forcefully. “We will not allow a handful of natives to dictate how we live!” His words were met with thunderous applause and cheers as he continued to assert that it was time to reclaim humanity’s dominance on the planet.
Reactions to this announcement have been mixed. While Johanson’s supporters celebrated his fiery rhetoric, leading Communard politicians view it as a dangerous threat that unnecessarily endangers the already fragile peace with the Natives.
