Tony Bergmann was born in 2588 aboard the Last Frontier as the only child of hydroponics engineers. A quiet and observant youth, he enlisted in the ship’s internal security force and served as a dependable Guarding Trooper during his early adult years. He was known for his steady demeanor and deep sense of justice, though he kept his personal life mostly private.

After the crash landing on VOI 700 D, Tony experienced a personal rebirth: free from the rigid expectations of ship life, he publicly came out as gay, something he had long hidden aboard the Last Frontier. Settling in Firetown, he became a respected figure in the Guarding Troopers of the Free State of Settlers, specializing in wilderness defense and wildlife engagement along the edges of the Ralar Region.

In 2628, Tony was assigned to lead the investigation into the disappearance of the Vazhak I Expedition. His familiarity with the region’s dangers and his impressive field record led to his recruitment as the Wildlife Guard for the Vazhak II Expedition.

During the expedition’s passage through Vazhak, Tony and 15 others lost their lives in a sudden and catastrophic ambush by a Zathurr (Vazhak Maw). His body was never recovered, but his legacy lives on.
