Hussaini Carpentry Inc. was established by former Fogwood Sawmill operator Jaque Hussaini to extend the frontier’s timber supply chain into finished goods. Backed by a strategic investment from his mentor Hanata Ito, Hussaini Carpentry transformed raw planks from Fogwood into furniture, framing timbers, and bespoke woodwork for Morningstar and the broader Free State of Settlers. Following the Peace Treaty and the formation of the Federal Confederation in 2632, the company was incorporated into the Federal Carpentry network under the Federal Allotment Agency, continuing operations as the Federally–managed Carpentry Plant of Morningstar.

Jaque Hussaini leveraged his expertise and Ito’s patronage to launch the workshop adjacent to Fogwood Sawmill. With priority access to fresh lumber and Ito’s trade–guild connections, the carpentry scaled rapidly — producing over 500 standard units of furniture and structural components per quarter by 2628.

As the Great War intensified, Federal contracts shifted Hussaini’s output toward military furnishings — crate weapons racks, and field tables — for the Volunteer Army of Man. The workshop operated double shifts and added 12 temporary carpenters to meet demand.

Under the Federal Allotment Agency’s reorganization, Hussaini Carpentry became the morningstar branch of the new Federal Carpentry Plant. Jaque remained on–site as Master Carpenter, while Ito’s investor role was dissolved. The plant adopted standardized quotas and sustainable wood usage policies inherited from its private predecessor.

• The Missing Logs: A critical shipment of seasoned lumber inexplicably vanishes on its short journey from the Fogwood Sawmill to the adjacent Hussaini Carpentry Inc. Since the carpentry is literally next door, there’s no clear route for the logs to disappear — and yet the delivery yard stands empty. Director Hanata Ito, baffled and furious at both the financial loss and the breach of his facility’s security, hires the PCs to unravel the mystery. Can the PCs recover the logs, unmask the saboteurs, and restore Fogwood’s reputation— or will the forest’s shadowy thieves strike again?
