After concluding the peace treaty with the Native Tribes that ended the Great War in April 2631, the Humans founded the Federal Confederation and chose democracy as form of government.

Under the first elected government of the Party of Communards under its head of government Aisha Patel on January 31 2633, the Federal Council decided on a common constitution for all the people of the Federal Confederation.

The Constitution applies to all the inhabitants of the Federal Confederation, on the soil of the reservations of New Kourou, Firetown, Hope, and Morningstar, so called in the peace treaty. Outside the defined boundaries of the reservations, the constitution loses its validity, but it remains binding for all inhabitants - no matter where they are.

It consists of a preamble and eight paragraphs:

• We, the descendants of pioneers who once traveled into space to find a new home for humanity, give ourselves a common constitution as thankfull guests on Planet VOI 700 D to create unity among the reservations, to ensure justice, and to foster peaceful coexistence of all tribes, collaboration, and mutual understanding while refraining from encroaching upon the territories and rights of the Native Tribes.

• 1. The dignity and life of all living beings is inviolable

• 2. Everyone has the right to express their opinions freely and to disseminate them without undue censorship, respecting the peace treaty and the harmony among human settlements.

• 3. All citizens of the Federal Confederation are equal before the law.

• 4. Everyone has the right to a free opinion and the right to spread it freely.

• 5. Everyone has the right to adequate housing and nutrition provided within the available resources of the Federal Confederation.

• 6. Everyone shall uphold their responsibility to protect the planet's natural environment. We shall strive for sustainable practices, conservation of resources, and harmonious cohabitation with the diverse ecosystems of our planet.

• 7. Our Federal Confederation is a democratic federation.

• 8. These laws can only be changed by a direct vote of all federal citizens of legal age, ensuring active participation and democratic decision-making. A simple majority of more than 50 percent of the votes cast is required to amend a law.

The constitution is protected by various entities and mechanisms within the Federal Confederation. The key elements are:

• Judiciary: The judicial branch of the government plays a crucial role in upholding and protecting the constitution.

• The Federal Court, located in New Kourou, serves as the highest judicial authority and ensures the adherence to constitutional principles through its interpretation and application of the law.

• Federal Sheriff: The Federal Sheriff, as the law enforcement authority, has a responsibility to protect and uphold the laws of the Federal Confederation, including the constitution. They enforce the provisions of the constitution and investigate any violations or breaches.

• Federal Lawyer: The Federal Lawyer, acting as the legal representative of the Confederation, plays a vital role in protecting the constitution. They have the authority to bring legal actions against individuals or entities that infringe upon the constitution and its provisions.

• Federal Confederation: The Federal Confederation as a whole, comprising the government, legislative bodies, and administrative agencies, has a collective responsibility to protect and defend the constitution. This includes passing laws and implementing policies that align with constitutional principles.

• Citizens: In a democratic system, citizens also play a significant role in protecting the constitution. Through their participation, awareness, and engagement, they can uphold the values enshrined in the constitution and hold accountable those who undermine its integrity.
