- Born: 2575 aboard the Last Frontier
- Affiliation: Barkeeper, Firetown Billiard Saloon
- Residence: Firetown
Background
Boma Hamza’s life has been one of resilience and adaptation. Born aboard the Last Frontier, Boma found his calling as a Service Bot Mechanic, maintaining and repairing the bots that played an integral role in the starship’s operations. His aptitude for mechanics, paired with his natural affinity for the bots, earned him a reputation as a dependable and skilled worker.
During the Beta Age, Boma continued his craft at the New Kourou Robotics Syndicate, wherehe repaired and maintained Service Bots for local settlers. The shop was a hub of innovation, and the bots he worked on were not just machines to him — they were trusted companions.
The outbreak of the Great War changed everything. Boma enlisted in the Volunteer Army of Man to defend humanity’s precarious foothold on VOI 700 D. However, his service was cut short when he was struck by an Orlanda Spear two days before the war’s end. The spear’s venom forced the amputation of his left arm, marking the end of his career as a mechanic.
After the war, the Peace Treaty’s restrictions on Service Bots — deemed too energy-intensive — devastated Boma. He viewed the bots’ prohibition as the betrayal and destruction of his closest companions. Unable to work in his chosen field and bitter about the loss of his “friends,” Boma became an outspoken supporter of the Individualist Party, which opposes the Communards' policies.
In 2634, GAIA assigned Boma as the barkeeper at the Federal Billiard Saloon. Initially apprehensive about life on the Dark Side, he has since come to appreciate its relative freedom, finding solace in his role amidst the saloon’s eclectic patrons.
