Context & Historical Background
Crafted by retired hydro-engineer Gerhard Lentz in a basalt-cooled brew-cave near Morningstar, Lebensfreude Lager followed a fiercely purist, adapted Reinheitsgebot. Only 25 kegs left the Pilswerke each quarter; every one was raffled to licensed taverns, turning its keg-badge into a status trophy. The nationalisation of enterprises after the founding of the Federal Confederation and the introduction of Communardism (2631) dismantled Pilswerke Inc., erasing Lebensfreude from legal taps and elevating surviving barrels to legendary contraband.
