Frostpunkt is a simple dice game, played on the Dark Side, especially in the entertainment district of Firetown and at the Halfway Inn. It was created by two miners from the Federal Copper Mine in the Beta Age, originally designed for gambling.

Besides the card game Twenty One, it is the most popular gambling game on the Dark Side.

• Betting Round: All players, including the thrower, place bets in a shared pot.
• Frostpunkt: The thrower sets a “Frostpunkt” between 2 and 5, which serves as the reference point for bets.
• Bet: Players bet whether the dice roll will be over or under the Frostpunkt.
• Roll and Result: The thrower rolls, and winners share the pot with the thrower if correct.
• The dice then pass to the next player for another round.

Since gambling has been banned in the Federal Confederation after the Great War, the game is now tolerated only in a version without money involved in the betting round.
