FEDERAL ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE
The Federal Administrative Service (FAS) based in the Federal Administrative Building at SE Talara Road 3 within the Civic Ring of New Kourou functions as the primary administrative body of the Federal Confederation.
Known for its extensive role in managing the citizen's journey from birth to death, the FAS works closely with the GAIA system to maintain and update each citizen's dataset, ensuring seamless data exchanges with other key federal agencies, such as the Federal Allotment Agency, Federal Health Agency, and Federal Housing Agency. The FAS is also responsible for organizing and officiating key life events, such as weddings and funerals, which have evolved to align with the constraints and values of life on planet VOI 700 D.
Responsibilities and Functions of the Federal Administrative Service (FAS)
The FAS fulfills a central role in ExoHuman society, overseeing the entire lifecycle of each citizen:
- Citizen Data Management: The FAS works closely with GAIA to maintain up-to-date datasets for every citizen. This data is shared with other federal agencies to streamline administrative processes, ensuring accurate resource distribution, healthcare management, and housing allocation.
- Event Coordination:
- Weddings: The FAS organizes marriage ceremonies, emphasizing simplicity due to resource limitations. Each couple presents wooden rings to one another in a private ceremony, and they publicly reaffirm their commitment to the constitution, including the pledge to have no more than two children. The ceremony concludes with a modest meal at home with close family members.
- Funerals: Funeral rites continue the tradition from the spaceship Last Frontier, where citizens on the Habitual Belt (New Kourou, Hope, and Morningstar) are composted in Funeral Homes, providing soil to sustain the community. In Firetown, the deceased are committed to the active volcano Ralar, reflecting a different tradition aligned with the harsh environment of the Dark Side.
- Inter-Agency Coordination: The FAS facilitates seamless data exchange with agencies such as the Federal Allotment Agency, Federal Health Agency, and Federal Housing Agency, ensuring that citizens’ information is shared accurately and securely to support service delivery across the Federal Confederation.
Collaboration with GAIA
The FAS relies heavily on GAIA’s data processing capabilities to maintain accurate, up-to-date records and to automate citizen interactions with other agencies. GAIA assists with:
- Citizen Lifecycle Management: Ensures that each citizen’s records reflect accurate life events, such as births, deaths, and marriages, providing a comprehensive record for efficient administration.
- Event Scheduling and Resource Allocation: Helps coordinate event logistics, from marriage ceremony preparations to burial arrangements, optimizing resource usage and ensuring timely service.
- Data Security and Compliance: Ensures that all citizen data is stored securely, complying with the laws of the Federal Confederation, and that information is readily available to other agencies as needed.
