During the crash landing, a fire swept through the prison wing; Sergio, grievously burned, escaped the wreckage and vanished into the chaos of Beta Age Firetown. Over the next years he built a reputation as a ruthless contract killer, spending downtime in the Entertainment District’s underbelly.

When the Federal Confederation reforms shuttered many criminal haunts, Sergio lost his under-the-radar gigs. In 2634 he joined the Jane Mendoza Gang under Elke van Veldhoven’s command. Tasked as the doorman and heavy for the Gang’s VIP rooms upstairs in the Firetown Billiards Saloon, he enforces access and punishes rule-breakers with brutal efficiency. His local collaborators include Haruto Miller — doorkeeper of the Saloon — and Maria Reuter, the Saloon’s Federal Hostess and secret ledger-manipulator for the Gang.
