IONA LYNGE

• Species: ExoHuman
• Born: 2598, aboard the spaceship Last Frontier
• Affiliation: Free Brawl Fighter at Old Netter's Rest (Beta Age), Doorwoman & Enforcer, Saloon Gloria (Gamma Age)
• Place of Residence: Hope (Beta Age), Firetown, Entertainment District (since 2631)

Iona Lynge grew up aboard the Last Frontier where, as a child, she towered over her peers — taller and broader than most, especially the girls. Cruel teasing and physical bullying from other children marked her early years, until she discovered that her very size and strength were basically her greatest assets …

After the crash landing on VOI 700 D, Iona Lynge first made her living in Hope’s agricultural industry but soon realized her true calling lay in the brutal spectacle of the Old Netter’s Rest central Brawl Ring. There, she amassed an unprecedented 158 consecutive victories — earning both prize wealth and a fearsome reputation.

Despite her harsh appearance, she also has a gentle side: she rescued an injured Flutterwing after a brawl in Hope, nursed it back to health, and nicknamed it “Bert the Bird.” Bert perches on her shoulder or nestles in her pocket, a constant companion.

After the Great War and the rise of Communardism, GAIA tapped Iona in 2631 to serve as doorwoman for the newly re-opened Saloon Gloria. Paired with Federal Hostess Trixi Da Vinci, she quashes disturbances with unflinching efficiency — always with Bert close at hand.

Though members of the Jane Mendoza Gang operate within the saloon, Iona remains politically neutral; her only allegiance is to Trixi’s leadership and the order she upholds.
