As a prominent feature of New Kourou’s Civic Ring, the Monument to the Just Harvest is both a gathering place and a symbol of collective aspiration. Its critique of inequity and its celebration of sustainability make it a landmark for public discussions, educational programs, and ceremonies related to food security and ecological responsibility. The monument also serves as a proof of concept for sustainable building practices, reinforcing the Confederation’s innovative spirit.
+===== Remark: Authorship / Art in the Gamma Age Society =====
+In the resource-constrained society of the [[the_gamma_age|Gamma Age]] following the [[great_war|Great War]], the Federal Confederation has no professional artists. Every individual is required to contribute to higher-priority roles deemed essential for the survival and development of the community. Recognizing the importance of cultural expression while ensuring that resources remain focused on critical needs, the [[Federal Council|Federal Council]] under [[georgia_hawking|Aisha Patel's]] [[communards|Communard]] government implemented a unique approach to public art.
+All public artworks are conceptualized and designed by the communal AI system, [[gaia_system|GAIA]], ensuring alignment with the Federal Confederation’s values and priorities. The physical creation of these works is carried out by [[the_humans|exohuman]] craftsmen, following GAIA’s designs. This method guarantees that art is produced efficiently and sustainably, without diverting resources or fostering behaviors considered detrimental to the collective ethos.
+By taking this approach, the government aims to avoid the emergence of "bohemian attitudes" and stardom often associated with professional artists, ensuring that the production of art remains a communal effort rather than an individual pursuit. This policy reinforces the Confederation’s commitment to equality, utility, and sustainability, while still allowing for cultural enrichment through meaningful and accessible public art.
