 ==== Context & Historical Background ====
-Crafted by retired hydro-engineer Gerhard Lentz in a basalt-cooled brew-cave near Morningstar, Lebensfreude Lager followed a fiercely purist, adapted Reinheitsgebot. Only 25 kegs left the Pilswerke each quarter; every one was raffled to licensed taverns, turning its keg-badge into a status trophy. The nationalisation of enterprises after the founding of the [[Federal Confederation|Federal Confederation]] and the introduction of [[Communardism|Communardism]] (2631) dismantled Pilswerke Inc., erasing Lebensfreude from legal taps and elevating surviving barrels to legendary contraband.

+===== Ingredients & Process =====
+  * **Glacier-Melt Water** – gravity-fed from the pristine springs at the headwaters of the [[arla_river|Arla River]]; credited for the beer’s crisp finish.
+  * **Atrana Barley Malt** – hydroponically grown on nutrient tables outside Morningstar, kilned over low-heat basalt vents.
+  * **Noble Hop Cones** – a delicate cultivar raised in shaded Atrana terraces; low bitterness, floral nose.
+  * **Kalt-Yeast 62** – a bottom-fermenting strain Lentz smuggled from the [[last_frontier|Last Frontier’s]] cryo-stores; lagered at a steady 8 °C in the mountain vault.
+===== Legacy & Impact =====
+  * **Gold-Standard Lager** – Brew texts still cite Lebensfreude’s mineral balance; stolen yeast cultures fuel [[outlaws|Outlaw]] nanobrew rigs.
+  * **Lottery Folklore** – Quarterly keg raffles became tavern holidays; victorious publicans hung spent keg collars like medals.
+  * **Black-Market Icon** – A sealed mini-cask now trades for up to 2.500 K; sampling parties are clandestine, invite-only affairs.
+  * **Missing Brewer Mythos** – Lentz vanished after federal seizure; rumours place him perfecting a “Freedom Pils” deep in the Atrana wilds.
+===== Tactical Advice for Dungeon Masters ======
+  * **Keg-Runner Escort** – A tavern wins the lottery but needs protection hauling its prize through bandit country.
+  * **Yeast Heist** – A chem-collective hires PCs to retrieve Kalt-Yeast 62 phials from a locked federal freezer.
+  * **Lost Brewer Hunt** – Tracking Lentz could yield brewing secrets… or reveal a militant micro-brew commune.
