THE WORLA
The Wprla is a snake and a predator from the Desert Side of the planet VOI 700 D. They live in sand caves under the surface of the Desert Side.
Physique and appearance
The Worla is a two headed snake with one head at each end of its body. It can become up to three meters long and has a weight between 10 and 15 kilogram. Worlas have snakeskin and are one of the fastest land creatures on planet VOI 700 D. It can move through the sandy underground of the Desert Side with up to 60 km/h.
Reproduction and life
Worlas mostly live and hunt alone. Only to mate Worla come together.
A Korozo pack also includes the pups, which are born after only two months of gestation. In their first year of life, the pups depend on the full care of their parents. The youngsters, called yearlings, are one to two years old. Not yet sexually mature, they stay “at home” and help raise the youngest. As soon as they are ready to start their own family, they usually leave their parents' territory. Then the great search for a mate and a territory of their own begins for them with migrations of often many hundred kilometers.
Korozo have a life expectancy of 40-50 years.
Taming and breeding of Korozos
A warlike tribe of Native tribes called the Zark specialize in breeding and taming Korozo as guard animals. Thus, among the Zark, each male member of the tribe has a so-called protective pack, which is supposed to protect him during the Zark's forays. In addition, the Korozo also help the Zark find their way in the eternal night of the Dark Side.
To establish the protective pack, the Zark always keep two Korozo: one female and one male. Offspring are also included in the pack until they are old enough to be given to another member of the tribe to form a new protective pack.
The handover of the two Korozo usually takes place in a special ceremony that represents the transition from child to adult for young male Zark.
Since Korozo are pack animals, domestication is a complicated procedure in which the male Zark must place himself at the head of the pack as the Alpha Korozo. This is ensured in a submission ritual in which the young male Zark must defeat the male Korozo in combat.
