DRONES OF HOPE INC.
Overview
- Location: Founded in Hope Region, later active across other Beta Age settlements
- Founding Year: 2628
- Founder: Elias Trent, former engineer of the Frontier Engineering Corps (FEC)
- Original Purpose: Salvage, repair, and repurpose drone units recovered after the Crash of the Last Frontier
Drones of Hope Inc. began as a small post-crash salvage workshop and quickly evolved into a vital logistics and defense supplier for the Free State of Settlers. Its refurbished drones were instrumental in both civil reconstruction and military readiness.
History
Early Operations (2628–2629):
- Established in the ruins of a broken FEC logistics bay in Hope
- Introduced leasing models with maintenance support, allowing key institutions (e.g. clinics, workshops, patrol units) to access operational drones despite resource scarcity
Expansion and War Mobilization (2629–2630):
- Entered exclusive supply contracts with the Guarding Troopers
- Converted into a semi-official contractor under the supervision of the Volunteer Army of Man during the Great War
- Scaled production and repair operations to over 200 drones serviced per month, operating multiple outposts near Morningstar, Arla Town, and Firetown
Nationalization and Dissolution (2631):
- Under the terms of the Peace Treaty, drone use was strictly curtailed
- Drones of Hope Inc. was nationalized by the newly formed Federal Confederation and ordered to disassemble all remaining Combat Drones
- The company was dissolved shortly thereafter, though rumors persist of hidden caches and underground repair rings
