MIREGNAT

Overview

The Miregnat, called “Yora-Sii” by the Orlanda Tribe, is a minuscule, bioluminescent mosquito species found in the fog-heavy wetlands of the Orlanda Marshes and the Tropical Forest of Asari. Known for forming glowing clouds during fog-thickened twilight, these insects are more nuisance than threat — though their persistence is legendary.

Orlanda folklore tells of the Miregnats as spirit whispers — annoying yet wise — whose dance reveals hidden paths in the swamp.

Tactical Advice for Dungeon Masters

Miregnats are ideal for light tactical disruption and eerie ambiance:

  • Perception Impairment: Use swarms to hinder visibility and player focus
  • Swarm Navigation: Follow their dance to discover hidden entrances or relics
  • Ambient Marker: Their presence may warn of predators — or conceal them
