THE ETERNAL BOOK OF THE HONGA TRIBE
The eternal book is an important artifact of the Honga culture. It serves the tribe as a reminder of the history experienced and continues to be written by each generation. Responsible for the continuation of the Eternal Book is the respective Spiritual Leader of the Honga.
The material nature of the eternal book
The pages of the Eternal Book are made by the Honga in a traditional way: The Honga use grasses from the user of Lake Arla, which is sacred to them, and then cut them into small pieces. Then (after a few hours) they are soaked in water of Lake Arla and mashed into a pulp. This pulp is then spread out and dried to form a paper-like substance.
The pen with which the Spiritual Leaders write was carved “at the beginning of time” from a fallen branch of a tree.
