Single-File Formation

• Members move in a tight line, each maintaining physical contact by placing a hand lightly on the shoulder or gear of the person in front.
• This prevents individuals from becoming separated in the darkness, where visibility can be virtually nonexistent.

Leader Role

• The leader, typically the most experienced individual or one equipped with night vision, sets the pace and scouts ahead for dangers.
