BRENNA SOLVIK’S DOCKHOUSE
Overview
 * **Location:** Industrial Ring, Arla Town
 * **Address:** NW Industrial Ring Road 5
 * **Surroundings:** Located in Arla Town's "Fishermen's Quarter", adjacent to the banks of Lake Arla and nearby the Funkenberg Fishfactory.

Brenna Solvik was respected for her knowledge of Lake Arla’s currents and weather patterns. She trained fishers to “read the water” and often piloted boats through treacherous shallows. Her own catch was modest but steady, always routed through the Arla Town Market or sold in bulk to the Funkenberg Fishfactory. All gear maintenance and net repairs were handled collectively at Tiller & Net Fishing Supplies.

The dockhouse was destroyed during the Great War, when the Alliance of Native Tribes raided and burned down Arla Town as a whole.

Architectural Significance
 * **Construction Material:** Timber frame with stone hearth

Look and Feel
The dockhouse carried the scent of damp parchment and charred wood. In the perpetual twilight, lanterns threw a soft glow across pinned maps, their inked lines tracing hidden currents and sandbars. Brenna’s careful annotations and weather journals gave the place a quiet, authoritative mood.

Public Access, Operating Hours & Operational Rhythm
 * **Operating Hours:** 04:30 – 17:00
 * **Delivery Rhythm:** Fish landed early; pilotage by appointment around low-wind periods
 * **Community Role:** Safety mentor and shallow-water guide for the Quarter; steady contributor to Market/Factory supply

Player Interactions
Legal
 * Hire Brenna to pilot through hazardous shallows or shifting channels
 * Commission a copy of her depth notes for an expedition
 * Arrange fish deliveries via Arla Town Market / negotiate bulk with Fishfactory

Illegal
 * Bribe Brenna to guide a vessel past river checkpoints unseen
 * Steal or alter her water-level markers to strand rivals
 * Forge annotations on her charts to misroute shipments

Tactical Advice for Dungeon Masters
Brenna can serve as a cautious ally, teaching PCs how to navigate Lake Arla safely — or as a reluctant conspirator forced to guide smugglers. Her charts can be plot devices, whether stolen, forged, or hidden.

Adventure Hook Example
 * **The Stolen Maps –** Brenna’s depth charts are stolen before a major expedition. PCs must track down the thieves, who may be smugglers planning to use her knowledge to bypass Guarding Trooper patrols.
