LAKE TIJONARA
 * **Type:** Delta Lake
 * **Location:** Habitual Belt, Eastern Equatorial Section, Asari Region
Overview
Lake Tijonara lies at the heart of the Asari Region, where the steppe of the Tijonara Mountains transitions into the lush tropical woodlands of the Eastern Equatorial Section. Although referred to as a lake, it functions more as a delta where the Tijonara and Arla Rivers merge, creating an ecologically vibrant wetland. Spanning 40 kilometers of shoreline, Lake Tijonara is the second-largest lake in the region, surpassed in size only by Lake Arla and in depth by Lake Orlanda.

Lake Tijonara also marks the eastern boundary of the Senti Tribe’s sacred homeland, embodying their cultural and spiritual connection to the land. Its role has shifted through history, from a center of Exohuman expansion during the Beta Age to a protected natural sanctuary under the Peace Treaty in the Gamma Age.

Lake Tijonara's underwater world remains the least explored of the three major Asari lakes. Due to the strong territorial protection by the Senti Tribe and limited scientific priority during early expeditions, no substantial aquatic studies were ever conducted.
Local Climatic Conditions, Geography and Landscape
 * **Location and Size:** Lake Tijonara is situated centrally within the Asari Region, forming a natural boundary between the steppe and tropical zones. Its shoreline measures approximately 40 kilometers, with waters nourished by the Tijonara and Arla Rivers.
 * **Hydrology:** As the meeting point of two major rivers, the lake supports a complex network of channels, wetlands, and aquatic habitats. These dynamic hydrological features make Lake Tijonara a biodiversity hotspot.
 * **Transition Zone:** The lake’s surroundings mark the shift from arid grasslands near the Desert Side to the tropical heartland of the Habitual Belt. This diverse landscape sustains a wide range of flora and fauna.

Local Flora
All known Exohuman data on the flora of Lake Tijonara stems from brief surveys conducted during the Beta Age. Since the ratification of the Peace Treaty, no further botanical exploration is permitted in the region. Thus, it is highly likely that a substantial portion of the lake’s flora remains undocumented.

 * **Aquafera Reeds —** Found along the shoreline, these tall, resilient plants stabilize the soil and provide raw materials for Senti crafts.
 * **Alnar Moss —** Bioluminescent moss that thrives in shaded areas, emitting a soft glow that attracts small aquatic creatures.
 * **Bubble Ferns —** Floating ferns that enrich the lake’s oxygen levels and provide habitats for juvenile fish and amphibians.
 * **Glowrush Reeds —** Common in the delta, these reeds glow faintly at night, supporting nocturnal ecosystems.

Local Fauna
Much like the flora, the fauna of Lake Tijonara was only partially documented by Exohumans during the Beta Age. Many species are presumed to be unique to the region, especially those inhabiting the deltaic wetlands. The convergence of two rivers allows the lake to share aquatic species with both the Tijonara River and Arla River, including widespread species like the Misttail Crab.

Slender Predatory Fish:
 * Skyweaver Eel — Agile, eel-like fish known for darting leaps above the water’s surface to catch insects mid-air. Uses sleek movements and precision strikes to feed and evade threats.
Mineral-Feeding Fish (Inflow Zones):
 * Ironjaw Minnow - Small, mineral-feeding fish native to the inflow zones of Lake Orlanda.
 * Silverscale Glider – Sleek, surface-skimming fish species native to the faster-moving currents of the Arla and Tijonara River inflows into Lake Tijonara.

Twilight-Reactive Fish:
 * Mirrorstripe Loach — A twilight-reactive loach known for its mirrored flanks and skittish nature.
 * Lumifish – Translucent, glowing fish that school beneath the floating vegetation.
Aquatic Invertebrates:
 * Alnar Shrimp — Tiny filter-feeders that cluster near glowing moss, forming glittering clouds in the shallows.
 * Misttail Crab – Semi-aquatic crab with translucent shells, thrives in rivers and lakes across the Asari Region.
 * Quorra Crabs — Semi-aquatic crustaceans with iridescent shells, burrowing in the lakebed and aerating the soil.

Amphibians and Reptilian Fauna:
 * Glowfrogs — Amphibians with luminescent spots, adding vibrancy to the lake’s ecosystem.
 * Shardbacks — Turtle-like creatures with spiked shells, basking on the lake’s rocks and controlling aquatic vegetation.
Surrounding Fauna:
 * Bluestrike Heron - Tall, majestic bird native to the Asari Region. Renowned for its electric blue plumage, which glimmers in ambient light, the Bluestrike Heron is an apex predator,
 * Flutterwing - Small, swift bird. Recognized for its vibrant blue and gold plumage.
 * Hoo - Large, herbivorous mammal native to the Asari Region.
 * Nokari Mouse – Small, fur-insulated rodent.
 * Odo – Massive, bison-like herbivore native to the Tijonara Steppe.
Local Population and Settlement History =
Lake Tijonara and its surrounding wetlands have long served as the easternmost sacred boundary of the Senti Tribe's homeland. The tribe maintains a deeply spiritual relationship with the lake and conducts seasonal rituals along its shores, celebrating balance between water, soil, and life.

Beta Age Expansion and Conflict
During the Beta Age, the lake became a target of Exohuman interest due to its central position and navigable channels. Exohumans built a courier station on the eastern shore, using the lake as a hub for transporting goods — especially fish, meat and furs from Odo herds hunted upriver.

This industrial activity, combined with fishing, hunting and deforestation, sparked conflict with the Senti Tribe. As tensions rose, the Senti began targeting Exohuman infrastructure. The courier station and surrounding facilities were ultimately destroyed during the early stages of the Great War.

Gamma Age Protection
In the Gamma Age, Lake Tijonara is protected under the Peace Treaty. Exohuman presence is strictly forbidden, and stewardship of the lake has been fully restored to the Senti Tribe. Fishing, transport, and spiritual practices continue under their exclusive jurisdiction.
Tactical Advice for Dungeon Masters
Lake Tijonara offers a rich backdrop for stories involving environmental themes, tribal dynamics, and hidden conflict.

Adventure Hooks – Beta Age:
 * **"Courier's Dilemma" —** Players are caught between orders to defend the courier station and growing empathy for the Senti cause.

Adventure Hooks – Gamma Age:
