FUNERAL HOME OF FIRETOWN
 * **Address:** SE Public Services Ring Road 3
 * **Surroundings:** Adjacent to the Federal Canteen of Firetown

The Funeral Home of Firetown is the central funerary institution of the Dark Side, preparing the deceased for their final journey to the Ralar Volcano. Unlike the composting practices of the Habitual Belt, Firetown’s funerary tradition returns bodies to the earth through fire. Operated by a GAIA-appointed Federal Mortician, it embodies the symbolic connection between death, fire, and renewal.

Architectural Significance
Look and Feel
The Funeral Home of Firetown feels more austere than its Habitual Belt counterparts. The scent of volcanic stone mixes with smoke from ceremonial torches, while the air is heavy with warmth from geothermal vents. Families gather in somber silence, aware that each farewell leads not to soil but to flame.

The Fire Rites
The funerary tradition of Firetown differs from composting homes:

 * **Preparation:** The deceased are wrapped in fire-resistant shrouds marked with charcoal symbols of transformation.
 * **Procession:** Families, accompanied by ceremonial guides, carry torches and escort the body toward Ralar Volcano.
 * **Cremation:** At the volcanic site, the body is consigned to the lava vents, symbolizing purification and rebirth through fire.
 * **Remembrance:** Families receive a small volcanic stone, marked with the deceased’s name, to keep as a memento.
