The Anti War Movement was a pivotal social movement within the [[the_humans|ExoHuman]] community during the [[Great War|Great War]] (2630–2631) between the [[Volunteer Army of Man|Volunteer Army of Man]] and the Alliance of [[the_natives_tribes_of_voi_700_d|Native Tribes]]. Operating in the [[beta_age|Beta Age]] on [[the_planet_voi_700_d|VOI 700 D,]] the movement sought to end the prolonged conflict, advocating for peace and coexistence between ExoHumans and Natives. At its height, the movement counted over 1,000 active members and significantly influenced the course of human history on VOI 700 D. The movement officially dissolved after the surrender of the ExoHumans on April 8, 2631.

[[georgia_hawking|Aisha Patel]], later [[supreme_councilor|Supreme Councilor]] of the [[federal_confederation|Federal Confederation]], is widely regarded as one of the most important initiators and leaders of the movement.

The movement emerged in 2630 amidst widespread starvation and discontent in ExoHuman communities, driven by the deteriorating conditions caused by encirclement and the failure of the war effort. Its primary aims were:

  * **Promote Coexistence:** Advocate that a sustainable future on VOI 700 D could only be achieved through integration and mutual understanding between ExoHumans and Natives.
  * **Foster Willingness to Surrender:** Encourage ExoHumans to embrace peace as a pragmatic and ethical choice that would ultimately benefit their survival and prosperity.

These aims resonated deeply with a population suffering from famine and war fatigue, leading to growing support for the movement.

==== The Founding ====

The Anti War Movement was founded on January 18, 2630, in a clandestine meeting held at Aisha Patel’s home. Martial law, declared by the Settler's Council of the [[free_state_of_settlers|Free State of Settlers]], rendered such gatherings illegal under penalty of death. Seven key figures attended this historic meeting:

==== The First Public Appearance ====
 
The movement's first public action occurred in March 2630, with the distribution of leaflets in the marketplaces of New Kourou, Hope, and Morningstar. These leaflets outlined the movement's three main theses, calling for peace and coexistence. Although the Spaceship Council classified the leaflets as subversive and imposed severe penalties for their distribution, the messages gained widespread traction among the starving and war-weary populace.

==== Increasing Popularity ====

Subsequent actions targeted soldiers in the Volunteer Army of Man, spreading the movement’s message directly to those on the front lines. By October 2630, its influence was evident when a combat unit refused [[gaia_system|GAIA’s]] orders to conduct a counterattack against the Trando Tribe. Independent cells inspired by the Anti War Movement also emerged, further spreading similar demands for peace.

By December 2630, the movement had shifted public opinion decisively, with the majority of the ExoHuman population favoring an end to the war. However, political inertia within the  Settler's Council prevented immediate action.

===== The QFB Sabotage and End of the War =====

Faced with a deadlock in the Settlers’ Council, which refused to surrender, citing GAIA’s prediction that Native forces would be exhausted within three years, the Anti-War Movement turned to direct action.

On March 31, 2631, Anti-War operatives launched a coordinated sabotage operation targeting the [[quantum_fusion_batteries|Quantum Fusion Battery]] (QFB) charging infrastructure in [[New Kourou|New Kourou]], [[Firetown|Firetown]], [[Hope|Hope]], and [[Morningstar|Morningstar]].

==== The Sabotage ====

**The movement disabled:**

  * Quantum Fusion Recalibration Stations (QFRS) → Preventing QFBs from being recalibrated and stabilized, rendering them useless over time.
  * Energy Redistribution Nodes (ERNs) → Cutting off power conversion, preventing QFB-compatible energy inputs, effectively halting all high-tech weapon recharges.

The sabotage rendered all laser-based weapons inoperable, including the [[laser_gun|Laser Guns]] and [[laser_cannons|Laser Cannons]] salvaged from the [[last_frontier|Last Frontier]]. Without functioning energy weapons, the Volunteer Army of Man (VAM) collapsed within a week, leading to the unconditional surrender of the ExoHumans on April 8, 2631.This decisive act cemented the Anti-War Movement’s role in shaping the future of ExoHuman society.

The Anti War Movement was instrumental in ending the Great War and laying the foundation for the Federal Confederation.
