The Vazhak I and Vazhak II expeditions were daring scientific missions launched during the [[beta_age|Beta Age]] in an attempt to explore [[vazhak|Vazhak]] — one of the darkest, coldest, and most enigmatic regions of [[the_planet_voi_700_d|VOI 700 D]]. Both expeditions originated in [[firetown|Firetown]] within the [[ralar_region|Ralar Region]] and aimed to cross the eastern border into the ice-covered unknown of the Dark Side.
-Vazhak I, launched in March 2627, was led by Professor [[Kito Jaroslav,|Kito Jaroslav,]] a geologist from the Last Frontier University in [[new_kourou|New Kourou]], and accompanied by [[Francoise McEnroe|Francoise McEnroe]], a skilled Free State Courier Rider and wildlife guard. The expedition's goal was to map the border areas between Ralar and Vazhak, search for signs of life, and push as far into the region as resources allowed. The team of 20 included 15 scientists, four armed guarding troopers, and one courier rider.
