 === Context & Historical Background ===
-Christos Demopoulos green-lit Red Dwarf Firewater after brewing crews in the chilly [[atrana_mountains|Atrana Mountains]] begged for a pocket-sized heat source. Marketed with the tagline “Carry a star in your belly,” it became the go-to nip for mountain guides, night-watch Troopers, and frost-line prospectors. The bottle’s thermal ceramic shell warms to the touch once uncorked, an alchemical flourish that cemented its legend.
+When [[firetown|Firetown]] and its sprawling [[copper_mine|Copper Mine]] sprang up in 2627, Christos Demopoulos, the founder of Space Drinks Inc., immediately spotted a lucrative gap in the new settlement’s harsh, [[dark_side|Dark Side]] climate: miners finished their shifts frozen to the bone and eager for a fast, portable heat source. Rather than wait for a request, he green-lit an R&D sprint to craft a “pocket star” in liquid form. The result, Red Dwarf Firewater, debuted with the tagline “Carry a star in your belly.” Its heat-reactive ceramic flask warms in the hand once uncorked, and the cinnamon-capsaicin spirit inside delivers a throat-to-stomach blaze that turned it into the after-shift ritual for Firetown crews.

+  * Zanix Pepper Essence – Hope Region hot-house rows; red, elongated pods with sweet-heat profile
+  * Thermo-Catalyst Pearl – a pea-sized exothermic bead (food-safe alloy + iron oxide) that releases gentle heat for ten minutes after liquid contact, giving the drink its self-warming trait.
-Red Bloom Pepper Essence – micro-dosed capsaicin extract grown in the hot soils near [[ralar|Volcano Ralar]].
+  * [[Nano-Honey|Nano-Honey]] Syrup — lab-cultured sweetener from Hope’s bio-reactor domes, used to round the fiery bite.

 ===== Legacy & Impact =====
-Mountain Staple — One flask packed enough warming power for an Atrana ridge patrol; empty bottles became wind-chimes on shepherd huts.
+  * **Mine-Shift Lifeline** — A single flask was standard kit for copper-shaft crews around Firetown; empty ceramic shells were strung at dorm-door lintels as “good-luck furnaces” that chimed in the volcanic winds.
+  * **Medicinal Myth** — Pit medics swore a fingertip of Firewater massaged into frost-nipped limbs restored circulation twice as fast (no clinical proof, but the ritual persists in Gamma-Age mining camps).
-Medicinal Myth — Field medics claimed a splash sped frostbite recovery (unproven).
+  * **Federal Blacklist** — Post-2631, the catalyst pearls were deemed “non-essential metallurgy,” pushing real Firewater into contraband status and spawning dangerous knock-offs that skip the heat-regulator coating.

 ===== Tactical Advice for Dungeon Masters =====
 Red Dwarf Firewater is more than a drink:
-Blizzard Buffer — Issue each PC a flask before a glacier trek; failed Con saves add comic yelps of “internal combustion.”
+  * **Blizzard Buffer** — Hand each PC a flask before a patrol in the [[ralar_region|Ralar Region]] or any other region of the Dark Side; on a failed Con save vs. extreme cold they may down a shot for advantage on the next save (the resulting “I’m a furnace!” shout is pure role-play gold).
+  * **Saboteur’s Spark** — The heat pearls can be extracted and wired into crude incendiary charges or emergency hand-warmers—useful when players need a silent way to thaw machinery or ignite damp tinder.
-Saboteur’s Spark — Over-pressurised pearls can be rigged as makeshift hand-warmers—or low-grade incendiaries if players get creative.
+  * **Contraband Cargo** — Since the 2631 blacklist, a single crate can fetch triple value in Firetown bunkers; sneaking it past Federal checkpoints (while its cinnamon-spice aroma tries to give the game away) makes a tense, high-profit side quest.
-Contraband Cargo — Smuggling a crate past Federal checkpoints offers a profitable (and aromatic) side quest.
