==== Context & Historical Background ====
While [[Slivovitz Superior]] soothed spirits across the orchards and river-valleys of the [[asari|Asari Region]], Vinko & Zora Mikulić, founders of Mikulić Inc, spotted a very different frontier thirst: the soot-streaked miners pouring into the newborn settlement of [[firetown|Firetown]] in the [[ralar_region|Ralar Region]] on VOI 700 D’s [[dark_side|Dark Side.]]
They launched Krupnik Gold in early 2628 with the tagline “Strike the vein, stoke the vein.”
Demand never outpaced Slivovitz’s prestige, yet among Dark Side labor crews Krupnik Gold earned equal reverence — “liquid ember” for those who carved the Free State's copper from the cold rock.
===== Ingredients & Process ======
  * **Nano-Honey Syrup** — cell-grown nectar concentrate produced in [[Hope|Hope’s]] micro-apiary biovats; retains the floral complexity of Old-[[the_earth|Earth]] honey without a single bee.
  * **Claran Bud Essence** — native seed-pods, kiln-dried then steam-cracked for sweet-warm eugenol oils.
  * **Neutral Cane Spirit (96 %)** — distilled from Hope-grown cane grass.
  * **Arla Headwater** — spring water from the [[arla_river|Arla River]] for proofing to 42 % ABV.
  * **Two-Stage Infusion** — nano-honey dissolved hot, cooled to 35 °C; Claran oils stirred in; spirit rests 14 days in ceramic crocks.
  * **Triple Wax-Seal** — rich amber plant-wax cap over a clay stopper; each seal stamped with a stylised honey-comb sigil and batch number.
===== Legacy & Impact =====
  * **Smelter’s Respite** — A single nip became the unofficial “slag-pour stiffener” for Firetown’s copper-mine crews; one flask shared around the crucible warded off bone-deep fatigue.
  * **Black-Market Spice Wars** — Gamma Age counterfeiters cut batches with scorched sugar syrup that leaves drinkers hacking black phlegm; speakeasy turf fights over “true Gold” remain a constant PC hook.
===== Tactical Advice for Dungeon Masters =====
  * **Headwater Run** — At the very start of the Great War, Mikulić dispatches a small team (and the PCs) to haul pristine Arla head-spring water down from the [[atrana_mountains|Atrana Mountains.]] [[the_honga|Honga]] scouts shadow the party along foggy ridgelines, forcing players to balance speed, stealth, and diplomacy — or risk the brandy’s next batch and their own skins.
