The Office of the Mayor of New Kourou is the settlement’s civic administration hub, housing the elected [[mayors|Mayor]] and staff. The Mayor oversees local governance, infrastructure, and community programs while representing New Kourou in the [[federal_council|Federal Council]] of the [[federal_confederation|Federal Confederation]].  

The Mayor also participates in the [[mayor_s_council|Mayor’s Council]], which convenes quarterly; New Kourou presides in the first quarter (January–March).
