===== GAIA Election Poll: This Year’s Race is Tighter Than Ever =====

**April 5, 2636**

While the [[:communards|Communards]] secured an absolute majority in the first two elections of 2624 and 2632—winning 11 and 10 of 14 seats respectively—the 2636 election appears headed for a much closer result. Polls suggest the Communards are likely to retain the five seats allocated to [[:New Kourou|New Kourou]], but in [[:Hope|Hope]] and [[:Morningstar|Morningstar]], where three seats are up for grabs in each region, the race is tightening.

In [[:Firetown|Firetown]], a stronghold of the [[:individualists|Individualist Party]] which holds four seats, the Communards could face significant losses. All signs point to an exciting and uncertain election, as the political landscape of the [[:federal_confederation|Federal Confederation]] teeters on the brink of change.
